I love this place %100 I would never give it a bad review but...now u deal with people who aren't even there in the store and their rude as hell with u on the phone and try to make u sound stupid after u repeat the same thing 3 times...other than that I love this place everytime I'm in town I order but this call bulletin is way out of line....

Closest Chinese restaurant near us so we tried it out. Got our order wrong, called to correct it and they still got it wrong again. Then I got food poisoning from the sweet&sour chicken while 32 weeks pregnant. Not very happy. If you want amazing Chinese without them messing it up or you know, not violently vomiting your guts out for 30 minutes at a time, Go to Tsing Tsao. The one On the east side off university is the best.

The lady was very rude. We order one thing she gave us something else and when i went back to tell her, thats not what i order she rolled her eyes at me. They also mixed the saracha sause with water. Really, really bad servies.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Ordered food for delivery. Takes two hours to get. After an hour we call trying to find out where our food is. Says driver is on the way. Another 20 mins go by. We call again, lady is rude and laughs the driver went to wrong address. Two hours go by and call again, she will no longer answer. Used a different phone, she hangs up on me. Driver finally gets here and laughs like it was a huge joke. Food cold, horrible service and then I get a TEXT saying “sorry it problem”. A text message? Really? I could have gotten over the food being late. I don’t appreciate being hung up on and my calls ignored when I prepared for my food!!

I do not reccomend this establishment. My wife found a bent up staple in her beef fried rice dish. One has to wonder how a staple could go unnoticed while preparing public food.

What i ordered: sweet and sour chicken. Eggrolls. Crab rangoons. What i paid: $19.50. Rangoons only come in stacks of 6. The chicken is good. Everything is served hot. Too hot. But good. The white rice that comes with the chicken was so overcooked it was mushy and tasted a bit of soap. All the food is served on styrofoam plates and all silverware is plastic. Not good for the environment and is probably a big cost on them too. Eggrolls. 3 stars. AverageRangoons. 3 stars. AverageChicken. 5 stars. Very goodRice 2 stars. Not goodEnvironmentally unfriendly

Food is good, service is hit and miss sometimes due to language barrier. But bad enough to say no.

Broccoli and chick w/ brown sauce. Brown sauce was clumpy, chicken dry. Crab rangoons we burnt. Rice was dry. only good thing once you scraped off brown clumpy sauce was broccoli. Wont be back to this one.

Love this place. Food is always good and quick delivery. Reasonable prices. One of my go-to places.

I’ve been ordering here for years and for some reason whenever I go there now it is the worst chinese I’ve ever had. They sell burnt sesame chicken, slugy organge chicken, and cold honey chicken. My house is 5 minutes away and there is no way it would freeze in that time of drive! The batter is supposed to be fried and it was falling apart and sought inside. Absolutely disgusting. The price is not worth the quality. Never ordering here again.

Ordered Empire Chicken, Crab Rangoon and Lo Mein. All delivered quickly and tasted great! No complaints! The person on the phone was fantastic! We’ve found our new place for Chinese food!

I did not realize that the lunch special came with pork fried rice so when I called up to the store to ask about the rice and told them I didn’t eat pork they drove all the way back to my house to bring me chicken fried rice instead. I am blown away by their kindness.

They need to post that the Merle Hay store is closed! I ordered online to Merle Hay when my husband arrived to pick it up that store was closed. No signs nothing. He called and they told him he had to drive over to the east side for pick up. They already charged us for it. I understand with the pandemic you may need to close a store. However, don’t allow orders to that store if it’s not open.

Terrible delivery service. Ordered online said it would take 30 minutes. I thought that was pretty reasonable. Then after an hour went by I called to check the status and they said the driver was "on the way". I understand food service takes a little longer, no big deal. Then another hour passed before my food showed up for my entire family, cold. Never ordering from this location again. Never had a problem with the SE 14th location. $45 worth of food delivered cold, plus I got lied to. I live 10 minutes away from this location, shouldn't have taken an hour if the driver was on the way. What a shame.

I called to eat there for the first time and someone hung the phone up on my when I asked how much my meal was for delivery very disrespectful.

Vegetable garbage, beef is stinky, chicken is stinky, shrimp is very small, I will never go again, I can’t find the address, I can’t find the address, the service is poor.

The rice smelled like pee and the chicken was burnt. Also the lady that helped us was super rude and looked like she just rolled out of bed. All of the cooks had their hair down and were not wearing gloves. Very unprofessional, unsanitary place and I definitely will not be back, it was an awful experience.

I order from the Merle Hay location and am never disappointed. I recommend their spare ribs.

Great for take out. Our cousin loves spicy food, but has a hard time finding one that is appropriately spicy enough. He ordered a dish marked as spicy and he was happy with it. The non-spicy dishes were good too. They had good flavor and werent too oily.

Yes it is fast food Chinese but a lot better than most. Can be inconsistent.

The two stars are due to the customer service which I have no complaints at all. She greeted me and was very helpful. The food however for human beef was the worst I ever had. I'm not sure if I even had 1/4th of it. The beef was very rubbery and no flavor. The vegetables were very watery and no flavor. The egg drop soup was okay. Not amazing but not the worst egg drop soup I've had.

We have ordered delivery online from Cheng's garden twice now. We love it! The food is great and we receive our food quickly. This is our new go-to spot for chinese.

I found a bug in my rice. That says it all.

Great food but it's like they are running a daycare in here and all the kids are sitting where others could be eating and it looks like they live at one of the tables

The food was delicious. I wouldn't recommend using their online ordering system. We ordered and paid online and were advised it would be ready for pick up in 30 minutes. I got there at the pick up time and our order hadn't been started. She had to search their system to locate our order, it took another 25 minutes before I was able to head back home with our food. The tasty food is the only thing that kept this above 1 star. I would go here again, I just won't use the online order system.

I know I base whether I am going to eat at a place or not on the reviews, so I wanted to make sure I left a really good one for Cheng’s Garden on Merle Hay. I ordered delivery and it was delivered very quickly, the driver was kind, and the food was delicious! This may be my new favorite Chinese spot!!!

I'm not sure why all the poor reviews- this is for the Merle Hay store. We've been coming here for years and have never had a problem. The service is always quick, the food delicious, and always correct. I've never once had my credit card used fraudulently and that's how we always pay. The food is always hot, as they make it when you order. The only thing I don't recommend about this place is eating in, there isn't much in the way of seating. It's a family run business. I love seeing the kids playing and knowing that I am helping support someone's dream of owning their own business.

I think Cheng's is probably the best Chinese food in this area - always tasty and always fresh. I am impressed by the consistency in tastyness that comes from here, like it's the same every time I order. I recommend the garlic tofu or garlic sauce veggies - always awesome! The veggie fried rice is good, and they'll sub the egg for tofu instead. I normally pick up, but the times that I've gotten delivery it's been quick. The staff is very pleasant as well when I come in. Of course there is a bit of a language barrier but I always order online so it's pretty great!
